This was our second ever fully painted magazine cover, for the best selling magazine in Dubai; What’s on Dubai. The editor had seen our cover for TNT Magazine last year and had been wanting to do something similar ever since. The time was right when it came to producing the March 2013 issue, as the lead story featured on the cover was ‘Art Dubai’. We used one of our favourite walls in London as the site to create a striking front cover image, including a realistic interpretation of the iconic Burj Al Arab. Watch this space as if all goes to plan we’ll grab our passports and become the most famous graffiti artists in Dubai!
The magazine featured some ‘making of’ shots that showed how our graffiti artist put the piece together and created the image using just spraypaint. The artwork has been extremely well received, and readers have been fascinated as there are very few graffiti artists in Dubai.
