This year Graffiti Life launched their very own independent gallery, located just off Brick Lane. It’s been a fantastic year, so far we’ve held 6 exhibitions and showcased over 50 different graffiti artists! Our December exhibition ‘The Advent Show’ marks the last exhibition of the year at The Graffiti Life Gallery.
The Advent Show features original works by 24 incredible artists in this, our celebratory Christmas special. The exhibition mirrors the ‘anticipate’ and ‘reveal’ characteristics embodied in a traditional Christmas advent calendar. Each artist has created an original piece of artwork and has also painted a unique door to be displayed alongside their work. There is a real variation of works that can be seen from this diverse range of graffiti artists; from hand-drawn typography pieces to penciled sketches and spray-painted murals. Last week we saw many new faces at our private view… it was great to see everyone opening each door and revealing each artwork as though the whole gallery were a giant advent calendar!
Throughout the month of December we will be unveiling the works daily to online audiences, though gallery visitors get a sneak preview of the entire show! Make sure to be among the first to see each work as it is unveiled daily by following us Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
