Our friends over at Nike UK asked us to help them with some grimey signage for an exciting event in central London.
The ‘Hypervenom’ football boot is a brand new development from Nike. The boot is worn by famous players such as Wayne Rooney and features NikeSkin technology for a barefoot like touch. The inspiration given to us featured dark branding elements such as deadly scorpions, panthers and other wild creatures and we brought this all together for the exclusive event hosted in an abandoned building in the heart of the Soho.
The focus of the night was a cage football match, featuring the ‘deadliest’ players in London, in a knockout tournament. We arrived early in the day and realised the challenge that lay in front of us – the walls were bare and shabby and in need of some drastic work if they were going to fit into the cool yet menacing vibe that Nike UK wanted. We used stencil slogans from the campaign and and used colours in keeping with the Hypervenom boot itself. We added drips, paint splats and over-spray to create some dramatic effects and graffed up over 25 different spaces within the area. You can see some of our work in this exciting video of the evening!
