There’s a lot of Harry Potter books out there and it seems like fans gobble up every instalment chronicling the wizard’s adventures. There’s a new book out now and even some of the hardest of the hardcore Hogwarts fans don’t yet know about it. This book isn’t a new story but rather, a Harry Potter colouring book!
Kids will love this, that’s standard, but adult colouring books are a thing now too. Sales have skyrocketed (seven of the current 20 best-selling books on amazon.com are colouring books) and converts say that the best way to unwind after a hard day’s work is with a set of colouring pencils and a good colouring book. When we were given the challenge of promoting Potter’s new scribble pad we knew there was only one thing for it; we would create a giant, life-size colouring book!
Yesterday night, while you were sleeping, our team was diligently working at Kings Cross Station in London, building a life-size Harry Potter colouring book. This morning the giant ‘pages’ will be unveiled and the public will be invited to decorate our work throughout the day. Our expert graffiti artists have hand-drawn intricate illustrations from the new book, in black and white ready for a colour explosion. So if you’re a HP fan or just a muggle (google it) and you’re in the area, be sure to come and make your mark, be creative and do some giant colouring-in!
Kings Cross Station is featured in the Harry Potter books, as Platform 9 ¾ is the secret entrance for young wizards to get to Hogwarts Academy, so it seemed the perfect location for this stunt. Thanks to the staff at the station who gave us after hours access and helped this magic project come together.
If you are looking for a unique way to market a product or brand then a life-size colouring book is one of the many great ways we can help you engage your audience. We have a bunch of artistic ways to communicate through creativity, that people actually pay attention to. Our project managers will make magic happen and our world class artwork will help you stand out from the crowd.
