If the idea of L plates, tiaras and sparkly sashes makes you quince and reconsider even having a Hen Party, then take a relief in the fact that there are lots of alternative options to bring your girls (and boys!) together to celebrate your send off in style.
This weekend just gone, Graffiti Life hosted a very different hen-do, which saw a mixed group descended on our graffiti artist to celebrate a close-friend’s last night as a single lady, with a special Graffiti Workshop.
While the party goers donned their extremely fetching personal protective gear, our professional graffiti artist set up the workshop outside.
Firstly the group received a little introduction into the world of graffiti – its history and how it has come about, and now considered an art form. They then began with the fun stuff! Starting by learning a few of the techniques associated with street art: such as drawing a straight line (not as easy as you think!), learning to fill in areas and control the can. This gave everyone a great base knowledge to use in the next part of the workshop.
While the sun set and the flood lights came on, the participants were well into the second stage of the workshop: creating a mural, focused around a subject matter of their choice. It this case, a very cheerful lobster was created! After it was coloured in and tidied up the group were amazed and overjoyed about their creation.
Celebrating in a different way, such as this graffiti workshop, certainly made a memorable day for the whole group and also allowed friendships to be built with the party needing to work as a team – a perfect solution for an alternative bride!
