The Graffiti Life Gallery | Berlin Pop-up
Our gallery technicians and graffiti artists flew to Berlin in March to set up ‘The Graffiti Life Gallery Pop-up’, which was located on Torstrasse, Mitte.
To kick- off The Graffiti Life Gallery’s 4-day presence in Berlin, our resident graffiti artists designed and painted two beautiful murals to feature permanently within the venue and also painted live in front of an audience of Berlin’s trendy gallery-goers.
The Graffiti Life team carefully selected some of our favourite artwork to hang in the exhibition, with never-seen-before works unveiled for the first time. Artworks on display showcased some of the UKs best graffiti talent, with artworks from the likes of Benjamin Badbones, Tors, Newso, Creeps, Gent48, Darren John, Curtis Hylton and Dirty30. Graffiti artist Adam Brazier painted two life sized portraits of King Henry VIII and Elisabeth I. As the two largest and most complex paintings in the room, his artwork sat centre-stage… and also doubled as a hidden door to the secret gin bar!
By night the gallery transformed into a prohibition style secret gin bar, where those who were ‘in the know’ sat back and drank gin based cocktails in low slung seats whilst listening to some of Berlins DJ talent.
We were chuffed to be invited to Berlin to showcase our talent. It was great to see such enthusiasm from the public for the artwork, our graffiti artists were even radio interviewed by Berlin’s popular FluxFM!
