Graffiti Artists Paint for Sophia Webster Spring/ Summer 2015 Collection
Sophia Webster is a high-end footwear designer who’s playful and feminine shoes have become increasingly sort after since she first launched her brand in Spring/Summer 2013. Since then, celebrities such as Rihanna, the Kardashians and Chloe Moretz have been seen strutting their stuff in her quirky and colourful designs.
Moving on from her last few shows, Sophia Webster sought to inject plenty of attitude into her Spring / Summer 2015 collection, which was recently launch at this year’s London Fashion Week. We were absolutely thrilled when Sophia Webster’s creative team got in touch with our graffiti artists and asked us to help bring the Spring / Summer 2015 ‘Jungle Rave’ vision to life!
Our graffiti artists headed down to meet the team on location in the Southbank’s Leak Street Tunnels, a famous spot known for its ever-changing street art and graffiti murals. After chatting in depth with the creative team about the brief, our graffiti artists were keen to get hands-on creating this graffiti inspired jungle-themed artwork. Our artists worked around the clock using neon spray-paint and brush paint to create large scale pixelated cut-outs of jungle paraphernalia. We completed the artwork within just one day, ensuring the set was ready in time for the big show the next day.
From palm trees to giant neon flowers, drippy leaves and wild jungle animals… bikini clad models posed in front of an array of our jungle themed artwork. The layers of graffiti created a literal urban-jungle, with guests able to wander around the installation to discover different items within the collection in a visually-compelling and interactive experience. Our graffiti artists were chuffed to work with Sophia Webster, it was great working with such an amazing shoe designer and creative mind!
