Recently Graffiti Life has been working with The Princes Trust Foundation during a 3 day spray-painting project. The project culminated in the production of a huge mural which was painted on Shoreditch Art Wall by the young people from The Prices Trust!
To gather some artwork ideas for their mural, our graffiti artists and the young people from The Princes Trust Foundation began brainstorming a collection of ideas for the huge 2m by 3m panels located on Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch. After nailing a good brain storming session, our graffiti artists spent a full day with the group teaching the tricks and techniques of spray-can art in preparation for their final masterpiece. Everyone had a go at perfecting their spray painting techniques using large foam boards as their canvases. The next day our group grabbed their paint rollers and trays and got a head start painting the whole surface of Shoreditch Art Wall with a sky blue emulsion.
Despite the rainy weather, the young people got stuck in, determined to finish this huge mural. Out came the ladders, spray-cans and artwork references as the group donned their high visibility vests and began their final piece. The walls were covered in blues, reds, greens, yellows and blacks as the group created inspiring scenes involving rivers, rolling hills and a cityscape of London.
It was amazing to see this large piece of work produced by the young people of The Princes Trust Foundation, and in one of the most sort-after painting locations in London! Read more.
