Sophie’s talent strikes again as she paints this beautiful Brazilian rainforest inspired street art on the bustling streets of Camden. This charming piece invites the feel of an exotic Summer’s day as her intricate design is draped between some of London’s most famous streets.
We speak further to Sophie about her inspiration behind this piece and some of the challenges that she faced throughout.
So what exactly inspired you to paint this piece of street art in Camden?
“Our initial theme was put in place to suit the Brazilian restaurant the wall originally lies on. I decided to go for something bright, inspired by nature using eye catching images and colours that would represent Brazil and the restaurant to the public. We thought that the parrots in the rainforest would be the most attention grabbing image to use.”
Do you enjoy painting wildlife?
“ I love painting animals, especially birds due to the texture of their feathers. This can be especially challenging due to the intricacy and detail of them. I always prefer to choose images inspired by nature”
What did you enjoy most about painting this piece?
“ I enjoyed seeing our creation come to life, especially the main parot because he’s so striking”
