A graffiti workshop is a fun way to engage and connect with any group, and we at Graffiti Life, have been offering a comprehensive workshop programme for many years, with thousands of excited participants. We have the professional touch and experience to deliver a fully tailored graffiti workshops to meet your needs.”
Our tutors are experienced graffiti artists who really know how to run a workshop. They are some of the most well known and respected street artists in the country, but more importantly they are competent teachers, with years of experience of working with participants of all ages and skill level. Our graffiti workshop teachers will pass on skills and techniques to you or your group that will allow you to make your own graffiti designs after the workshop. We will listen to the group and work with everyone, from the most boisterous to the quietest, and make sure that everyone is heard while having a chance to express themselves.
We provide children, young people and adults, of all skill levels and ability, a safe and supportive environment in which to express themselves, while practising team-work, communication, as well as developing personal skills. We believe that participants should leave feeling proud of their achievements, so at a Graffiti Life workshop the participants shape the direction of the class themselves, encouraging a sense of pride and ownership of the final results.
Our Graffiti Workshop programme caters for a large client base with a small dedicated team of graffiti artists who are experienced, confident teachers, making us the UK’s first choice for Graffiti workshops. We have spent years developing our workshop format, shaped by our own experiences and feedback from our clients. Our number one priority is engagement – we want everybody to take something positive away from their experience, we encourage teamwork and individual practice in equal measure during the session. We have witnessed graffiti workshops where teachers give participants some spraypaint and just let them experiment without guidance; this is definitely not the way that we do things!
We regularly begin sessions by presenting graffiti’s history, roots and story of the evolution into the street art scene today, touching on graffiti’s place within the modern art world and how to use the artform responsibly. We also talk about our own story, and show how art really can be a viable career option, even during a recession! Each graffiti workshop is bespoke; tailored to meet the needs of our clients in a number of ways – from getting a certain group talking and working together; to helping spread a particular message or theme through the artwork produced.
We have wide experience working with Schools, Universities, Prisons and Youth Offenders Units, Youth Groups and Special Needs Centres, each workshop is carefully structured to be as engaging and beneficial as possible to each audience. Our aim is to find untapped, creative talent and encourage its release.
Please contact us with your specific requirements, but below is the layout of a typical graffiti workshop with Graffiti Life.
We are excited to announce that we now provide Streetart Tours in East London. This experience is typically 90mins – 2hours but can be tailored to suit. The tour passes all the amazing art in the area and is the perfect companion to our graffiti workshops. You will learn all about many different artists, from around the world, that make their mark in this area before you make your own graffiti. Please contact for more details.
We start our graffiti workshop with health and safety requirements and discuss graffiti as a positive artform, including how to paint responsibly. We may discuss the history of graffiti and other art movements such as ‘Pop Art’. We talk about artists like Warhol, Harring and Banksy, their impact on the art world and their techniques, answering any questions the group may have.
We discuss the basic techniques of graffiti, from drawing a straight line to filling in an area with spraypaint. We spend time on these fundamentals to ensure the success of the final artwork. We look at the tools available to graffiti artists and how to create different effects
Our artists then guide the participants, helping them to create their own artwork, individually or collaboratively, ensuring all have understood the task and offering help where required.
By the end of the graffiti workshop participants will have created a finished mural that they can be proud of. Our tutors are used to those that say “I can’t draw”, we are confident that after our graffiti masterclass you will be able to make your own graffiti that will look amazing!

“Everyone really enjoyed the session, and learnt that there is little more to it than meets the eye! The artist was very charming… and the boys certainly spent a lot of time painting, which was the main thing. The end results were great…Thanks again for arranging the session at short notice, it really worked out very well indeed. The artist was clearly talented, and he has a very pleasant manner, polite, friendly and engaging. Now I have your details, I will be happy to pass them to any friends interested….It was a very different and entertaining session.”
“Thank you so much for all you and Adam did yesterday. What has been achieved is way beyond what I had hoped. I was so elated at the way that you coached the boys and encouraged them to be involved. It was an amazing day for them that they will not forget. May God bless you both for the joy, comfort and solace you have brought our school. We will see you soon.”
Vivienne Qurrey – St Bons School
“The workshop went really well, the artist was amazing at teaching and giving us the confidence to experiment and play. We all learned a lot and came away really happy with what we achieved as a group. – I keep getting thanks for organising it, so I felt the need to pass that on to you all. It was the perfect start to the day though as it broke down all barriers and got everyone on a level. Thanks again to everyone involved.”
