The guys at Sony were after an alternative way to entertain their guests at this swanky hotel. They asked us to incorporate images of old TVs, PlayStations and Walkman’s in a piece of live art portraying Sony products through time. We were very excited about this brief and we were given the freedom to interpret it as we wished!

Using fume free spray-paint and the Sony TVC advertising campaign as inspiration, our talented graffiti artists worked tirelessly to create a piece of indoor live art entertainment. Our work took center stage as the guests watched the creation of the art as they mingled with each other at the event.The finished work showcased a vibrant depiction of Sony’s journey through the ages, with a graffiti twist!

Our graffiti artists worked closely alongside the interior designers on this project, working with their ideas and turning them into pieces of original art. With a loose circus / showgirl theme we painted four portraits in total; three inside the venue and one larger wall mural adorning the front of the building.

The mural located at the entrance of The Star of Hackney Downs on the front wall was the most challenging piece and took one of our graffiti artists two days to complete. The main focus of the piece was an extremely detailed and intricately painted retro style female character holding a fox. We used a scaffold tower to reach the top of the wall and over 30 spraycans in the making of this mural.

The interior walls presented their own challenges, as we needed to paint small detailed pieces within the door frames to be offset by the bold black and white surrounding patterns. Our graffiti artists chose unusual colour palettes for the showgirls and kept them looking sultry, beautiful and ever so slightly creepy! Our work completely complimented the general aesthetic of the venue, which has something new to discover around every corner.

Atlantic records contacted us to chat about what we could do for them that was out of the ordinary. It’s hard to really capture an audience’s imagination with an ad campaign nowadays, posters just become background noise in today’s info overloaded society. However we’ve found that hand painted wall murals never fail to inspire and engage an audience, the public is always captivated when our graffiti artists are painting in the streets and through social media channels our hand painted advertisements take on a life of their own.

The front cover of the Phoenix album, as with previous releases, uses simple, vibrant cover art and this formed the basis for our hand painted wall mural. We used a huge 24 foot ladder to reach the top of the wall where we utilised freehand graffiti to paint the characteristic Phoenix letters. Our next task was to recreate the peach imagery in the four large panels below. Three of our graffiti artists spent a full day working on this advertisement, getting every detail of the artwork just perfect.

Over the years intense competition has developed among the students over who has the best looking bus. We were contacted by an ambitious group who wanted to use our skills with spraypaint to completely redecorate their ‘Russ Bus’ with a Disney themed design. We hopped on a flight and set off to explore Norway and transform a Russ Bus!

We arrived in Oslo and saw some sights before getting to work. It is an amazing city, snow everywhere and fantastic architecture. We even got the chance to make our mark at the local skatepark, with an impromptu paint session hosted by some local artists. Next it was down to work and committing the chosen design to the steel sides of the bus. We started with the princess side, painting 4 large characters with a fluffy pink background. Next it was on to the fun part – the baddie’s side! We painted a horde of villains with a scary background of evil castles and lightening bolts.

At the front of the bus the students requested that we spray a pink crown and the back sported a prince charming character. This was a really fun project and we loved painting the iconic characters on this Russ bus, even though they pushed our graffiti talents to the limit!

Armed with fume free indoor spray paint, our artists took centre-stage showcasing their incredible talent in front of a massive audience of party goers. We transformed the stage at Proud Camden into an inspirational work of art by painting a photo-realistic portrait of a girl nestled between two skulls. The work didn’t fail to impress and we got some really positive feedback.

After the artwork was complete our mural continued to set the scene throughout the night for a string of musicians who performed live in front of the it till the early hours of the morning.

MG described the way that they work to us, and laid out their ideas for their three planning rooms. The titles we were given to work with were; discover, design and deliver. This is the basic concept for the way Market Gravity deliver projects to their clients. The team wanted something urban and dynamic, with a simple colour pallet. We got to work designing a specific piece for each title, including bright backgrounds and London centric landmarks in a greyscale graphic style.

Three of our best graffiti artists spent a weekend completely transforming this office, while the space was empty. MG bosses had not told their staff what was in store, so they were amazed when they arrived back to work on the Monday.

We got some amazing feedback on the work, especially the giant statement piece in the foyer, which has had passers by stopping and looking in through the windows of the building. After building a brand new Spin Studio on the lower ground floor the club decided they needed to transform the boring blank walls and bring a bit of life to the space. The studio is kitted out with state of the art equipment including RealRyder spin machines – the only ones in the UK! The area is portrayed as a top secret lair, so we tagged a couple of directional arrows around the club that lead to the area.

We wanted to paint something simple but effective, so planned out a ‘graphic’ style mural, featuring a calm city scene with a large bridge and a dynamic cyclist powering past. We used greyscale images along with the Lomax’s signature green as the background colour. The team at Lomax were amazed with the artwork our graffiti artists produced and have had lots of positive comments from their customers, who are happy to have something to look at while they are working hard on the spin machines!

The crew from Talent House are running an exciting competition with Adidas, encouraging up and coming artists to create some amazing Adidas inspired artwork.

In order to get the creative juices flowing Adidas commissioned us to create three canvases that they could use to inspire other artists interested in the competition. One of the best parts of our job is getting the chance to inspire… So we got busy creating three canvases of completely different styles. Images of these pieces of art will be used throughout the campaign.

We coloured outside the lines with these canvases, so to speak, and were given free artistic reign to be as creative as possible, our only brief was to incorporate some element of Adidas branding into the artwork. Three of our graffiti artists interpreted the brief in very different ways and created some masterpieces that we’re really proud of.

The next step of the project was on a bigger scale, where we did what we do best; taking blank walls and turning them into something special. We took inspiration from a promotional Adidas video and incorporated elements into two murals that can be found in the London and Liverpool ‘Originals’ stores. We’re already working on the next stage of this project and we’re really excited about it. Keep an eye on our blog over the next few weeks and all will be revealed – it’s currently a closely guarded secret!

The magazine featured some ‘making of’ shots that showed how our graffiti artist put the piece together and created the image using just spraypaint. The artwork has been extremely well received, and readers have been fascinated as there are very few graffiti artists in Dubai.
